Happy 1/2 Birthday!!

Last Saturday was Caleb's 1/2 Birthday! He had his 6 month check-up yesterday at the clinic and he is doing just fine. He weighed 18 lbs 2 oz and was 27 inches long. He had 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine this time, he did pretty well with those but was extra clingy and fussy last night and this morning. His poor little thighs must be sore!
No pictures to share today, but we did get Caleb's picture taken at Penney's last weekend. We have proofs online if anyone wants to look at them all...email me for the link if you are interested. He did so good at pictures, much better than last time! He smiled and kept sticking out his tongue.

Almost 6 months old!

Caleb will be 6 months old this weekend! It's hard to believe it's been that long since he was born. He is sitting up now all by himself, for long periods of time. It really makes him look grown up. He loves to sit and play with all his toys, and if he happens to fall over, that's ok..he'll just roll around and scoot around and play on the floor. He is usually a very happy baby...he gets a little shy when we go to new places, but he warms up eventually. He hasn't really had too much stranger anxiety, just shyness..I'm sure daycare is helping out with that.
This weekend Caleb did lots of visiting...we had dinner with Grandma Karen, Grandpa George and Chelsea on Saturday night. Sunday night Caleb spent at Grandma and Grandpa Waldvogel's...today Grandma and Uncle Joey are babysitting. Caleb woke up a couple times during the night, which is unusual for him, he probably just wasn't sure where he was! Poor Auntie had to keep getting up with him and bringing him to Grandma and Grandpa. Maybe she'll rethink wanting him to sleep in her room when he visits! Marshall and I got to spend a nice quiet night together...it was weird not having Caleb there. I kept thinking I heard him!

It's finally March!

We've had a crazy couple of weeks around here! Last week we had two major snowstorms..one on the weekend which pretty much snowed us in and then again Wednesday-Friday. Marshall's work was closed Thursday and Friday and I got to leave work early Thursday and stay home Friday since I have such a long drive to work. Between the two storms we must have over 30 inches of snow. But..it's March in Minnesota, we all know what that means!! Crazy weather! I am hoping that was the last of it and it will all melt away now.

Now I have been home sick for the past two days. On Sunday I started running a high fever..I went to work anyway on Monday (not a good idea!!) and then yesterday decided I better head to the clinic. I had a terrible fever still, ear pain, headaches, and the worst sore throat. By the time I saw the doctor my fever was 102.5! They tested me for strep, which came back negative..so my doctor decided it was either tonsilitis or mono. It was too early to test for mono so I was given a prescription. If it is tonsilitis I should feel better soon, if it's mono I won't feel better at all and need to come to the doctor. Today..so far so good, I'm feeling alright. I am just hoping this is the end of it and that it is not mono!! Thankfully, Marshall is working the day shift for a couple weeks so he is home at night to help with Caleb.

Speaking of Caleb...our little boy is just so amazing! He has gotten so much more verbal this week, constantly saying something..mostly baaabaa and maa maa..which I think must mean 'mama' of course! He is loving bananas now, and even likes the applesauce too! Kitty is always trying to 'help' Caleb either eat his food or get cleaned up afterwards.
