7 Months old!

Caleb is 7 months old today! He's been spending lots of time playing on the floor now that he can really get around good. We really have to watch him closely, he's fast!!

Messy Eater

Caleb's been doing very well eating solid foods so far...we started trying a little mushed up banana and some 'puff' finger food type things. He doesn't really care for those yet, as you can see in these pictures! I think the texture surprises him..and they are more fun to play with, they get stuck to his fingers, his face...anywhere!!

Tooth #2!!

Last weekend Caleb and I were down at my parents' house Friday and Saturday. My sister Laura had her confirmation Saturday morning at the Basilica of St Mary in Minneapolis. Grandma Karen babysat Caleb during the church service for me, he had lots of fun there! We had a party after the confirmation, lots of Waldvogel and Kolvig relatives were there, it was so nice. Caleb got to visit with lots of family and even see his second cousins, Evan, Adam, and Kenna.

Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Laura, Uncle Joey and Auntie Stephanie got to spend lots of time with Caleb too. They just love having him around. Caleb and I spent the night in Laura's room and when Caleb woke up around 3:30am Grandpa was in there asking if I wanted him to get up with Caleb! Wow! I wonder how many times he did that when we were babies?

It also looks like Caleb has gotten TWO teeth, not just one..they are slowly popping up in his lower gum. No pictures of them yet..it's hard to get a good look at them!

First tooth and almost crawling!!

Well our little baby is turning into a wild child!! Caleb's been scooting around now for awhile trying to figure out crawling..he is getting really good at it! We put him on the floor and in seconds he's over getting into something, usually not his toys but Daddy's playstation! Caleb's babbling like crazy now too, 'mama' 'dada' 'baba'...and many other undistinguishable words. A few nights ago I noticed something a little sharp on his lower gums...sure enough, it's a tooth popping through finally! We've been waiting for this for months now with all the drooling and chewing Caleb's been doing.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!! (A few days late)....we were in North Dakota for Caleb's first Easter. We celebrated on Saturday with the Dean family, Marshall's dad and stepmom hosted an Easter lunch and lots of relatives came; our nephew Alex, Marshall's Grandma and Grandpa Dean, Aunt Lynette and Kent, Aunt Carol and Uncle Roger, and several other cousins. It was nice to finally meet some more of my in-laws! Of course, Caleb was a hit with everyone. On Sunday we had Easter dinner at Marshall's Grandma Erdman's house. Grandma cooked for us and it was so nice, Marshall's great uncle Harvey and his friend were also there.

North Dakota

Caleb just got home from his second trip to North Dakota. We left Friday morning and came home Monday afternoon. We visited with Papa, Grandma Mari, Alex, Great-Grandma Erdman and lots of other relatives. We even saw wild turkeys outside of Great-Grandma Erdman's house! Caleb was such a good boy traveling, but he will surely let you know when he's done riding in the car! We had a couple hours each way that he just screamed. He was happy to get back home with kitty and all his toys.
