Caleb at daycare

Caleb started daycare last week. So far, so good! Denise, our daycare provider, says that he is fitting in just great...like he's always been there. He gets along well with the other 16 month old girl that goes there. He also loves their dog, Keisha, and Denise's daughter, McKenzie. I'm happy about it so far. It's been an adjustment for us though...Caleb goes to daycare when I leave for work at around 7...so he's getting up hours earlier than when he stayed home with Daddy! Add to this his varying nap schedule at daycare and you have a cranky toddler at night! We are trying to get Caleb back on track with a better sleep schedule.


We had a sad loss to our family this week. My family dog, Ollie, passed away early Valentine's Day morning. He was 16 years old and he'd been through so much in his long life! He will be missed. Even Caleb said "Ollie?" this morning when Ollie wasn't in his normal recliner.

16 months old!

Here's Caleb in his froggy bath towel! Cute! He is 16 months old now. He is a very busy boy...he is learning new words almost every day. Some of his latest words are: cheese, hot dog, barney. He loves his Elmo video and watches it every day with Daddy. Starting on Monday he will be going to daycare! He's been home with Daddy for the last two months so this will be a big change. I am hoping he'll be happy playing with kids again. After much searching, I finally decided on a daycare provider. Her name is Denise and she lives nearby in Blaine. Caleb will be her 6th kid right now, so that's a nice small group! I hope it works out.
