Just recently, Ella had her first ear infection. She had a low grade fever for a couple days and I figured it was just another virus. On the 3rd day of this, she woke up in the middle of the night, screaming and really burning up...then I decided we better see the doctor. Sure enough, left ear infection! We started her on meds (Amoxicillin) and she was improving...but after a couple days of that she had broken out in a rash. I called the doctor's office and they wanted to see her...turns out she has a mild allergy to Amoxicillin. So now she's on a different medicine and we'll avoid Amoxicillin. Bummer! Going to the doctor is becoming quite the ordeal with Ella...she is terrified of the scale and when I took her in for the rash, just walking by it started a meltdown. She screams when the nurse takes her temp, when the doctor walks in the door, and when anyone tries to touch her. I hope this is a phase she will outgrow quickly.
Ella is learning more words every day now...she loves the baby at daycare, Lila, so she says Lila all the time. She says, baby, teeth, shoes, please, dada, mama, kitty, brother, grandpa, ball, bath, cookie....I might be forgetting a few but that's about it. She's got such a cute and funny personality...we are always laughing at her antics! I think she's taking after her brother in a lot of ways.
