Summer fun!

Last Thursday Caleb went up to the 'yarm' (farm) with Grandma and Grandpa...Uncle Joey and "Ti Steph" (Auntie Steph) were already up there. Caleb had so much fun up there...it was the first time he could really enjoy it, earlier this summer he was sick both times we visited. He was able to play outside A LOT (he LOVES going on tractor rides) and he visited with "Great Ma" (Great Grandma) too. They also went to the Douglas County Fair and Caleb enjoyed seeing all the farm animals. Grandpa tried to get him on a pony ride...but after about they starting moving Caleb was done with that!

Friday night Marshall, Laura and I came up to Osakis as well. Joey and Stephanie had some friends come up to camp for the weekend, as well. We came home on Saturday and Caleb and I went shopping for birthday party stuff! It's not the best idea to take a toddler to Party America. Caleb was going crazy with excitement in that store. He wanted everything. We settled on fire-trucks...you can see him modeling his fireman hat in one of the pictures below. He's so excited!

We also got hair cuts on Sunday. Caleb continues to amaze us with how well-behaved he is at the hair salon. Marshall and I decided to get our hair cut, too..after Caleb was done he just sat on a little booster seat behind us, eating his sucker and watching. I was envisioning chaos as he ran around the place without supervision, but he was just perfect!!

Caleb is still talking about his visit to the 'yarm' last week. He saw a rooster at the county fair and a couple days this week he's woken up and started saying 'cock a doodle doo!' I'm sure Laura and Grandpa have really appreciated being woken up like that these past mornings! In the driveway before we left for daycare he was even telling the birdies and Mommy's car 'cock a doodle doo!'
