5 months!

Caleb was 5 months old last weekend! He is growing too fast! As you can see in the pictures he has found his feet, and loves to try to get them in his mouth! He puts anything and everything in his mouth these days..we are just waiting for that first tooth to pop through. Last week he started feeling sick again, running a low fever, runny nose, and cough. I brought him to the doctor and it's just a virus so we are waiting it out. They weighed him and he is up to 17 lbs now! He goes back for his 6 month check up in March.

With his cough, Caleb has not been sleeping well again. Finally last night we made it a nearly 10 hour stretch...and I feel semi-normal after functioning at work this week on minimal sleep.

We've been continuing on with solids...Caleb has rice cereal, oatmeal, and now applesauce. He likes rice cereal and oatmeal, but is not too sure about applesauce yet! He has been making this awful puckering face...like, Mom, what are you putting in my mouth??

Cute little man!

A couple more pictures of my little guy...he is just the best! Everyone says he looks like his Daddy, I have to agree..especially the second picture of him here. It really resembles pictures of Marshall when he was a baby. It's funny because when Caleb was first born he looked like me as a baby, but boy, did he change quickly!! The only thing left that looks like me is the hair color, but the new hair growing now is much lighter. He'll probably be a blondie like his Dad, too!

First taste of cereal!

Pictures of Caleb's first taste of rice cereal. We've been slowly introducing rice, a couple spoonfuls every night. Notice kitty in the one picture, she goes crazy when I'm feeding Caleb. Who knew cats liked rice cereal? There are also a couple pictures from this weekend visiting Grandma, Grandpa, Ollie, and Laura.

Baabaa...

Caleb had a really good weekend! He has started to say a new sound....baa baa. All weekend he was saying "baa baa baa." It was so goofy and silly. It's so amazing to watch him learning new things!! He also tried rice cereal for the first time, I still need to upload those pictures and I'll share those too. He didn't seem to care too much for it, most of it ended up on his face and fingers! We are going to do rice cereal once a day for at least this week before introducing anything else.

Caleb and I went to visit my family on Saturday, my Dad, Mom, Joey and Laura were all there. Auntie Louise came to visit too. It was so nice for everyone to spend time with Caleb. Sunday Marshall and I took Caleb shopping and out for dinner. He is so good whenever we are out, I just can't beleive it!!

Mom's surgery

I forgot to post yesterday about my mom's surgery. She had surgery on her hip Tuesday and everything went very well! She's been recovering this week in the hospital and should be going home today. Hopefully she'll be as good as new once this is all over.

And a few more pictures of Caleb, I just can't resist!! He is sitting up, kind of...he can manage for a few minutes on his own but needs support or else he falls over.

More pictures of Caleb

More pictures of our silly guy...he is rolling both directions now, loves to play with toys and put ANYTHING in his mouth. Watch out if you wear glasses! It took about 2 seconds for him to have Uncle Joey's glasses off and in his mouth. He loves to screech, talk and laugh!! What a cutie! We love him so much.

Brrrr!

It's been SOOOO cold here. I guess we should expect that by now living in Minnesota. But it's still not fun. Caleb is finally getting over his cold...he was coughing and had a runny nose for days but I think it's done with now. He had a fever last Friday and had to leave daycare early. Now he seems like his normal happy self and is sleeping better too. YAY! Last Sunday was the Super Bowl, Marshall went to a party at his friend's house, he and Caleb had to dress in Vikings gear...still proud of their team even though they were nowhere close to being in the Super Bowl!!
