Christmas day!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! What a fun year this was with Caleb. It's strange to think how much has changed since last Christmas with Caleb. He is so active and fun at this age. Christmas morning we opened gifts with my parents, Laura, Joey and Stephanie. Caleb was a little apprehensive about all the gifts. He was very excited about his 'fridge DJ' (magnetic radio) and his vacuum! He's been vacuuming all over ever since. He's also been having a blast playing basketball with Daddy.

For Christmas dinner a lot of my mom's side of the family came over, plus my aunt Steph and uncle Tim and their kids (on my dad's side of the family). Caleb had a lot of fun during the dice game and gift openings. He was attached to my cousin, Jaxon, for part of the night. Caleb was just fascinated with him! (I think this is because Jaxon was the closest person to his size!) He kept hugging Jaxon, taking him by the hand and walking all over. Jaxon was such a good sport about it, too.

And, Happy New Year! Today is New Year's Eve. We don't have too much partying planned for tonight...probably visiting with family at my aunt Louise's house. I doubt we'll make it to midnight (at least not me or Caleb!). Tomorrow, for New Year's Day, we have one last Christmas celebration, with Marshall's mom, stepdad and sister. I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas...here's to a happy and healthy 2008!

Christmas Eve

I had the day off, Christmas Eve, even though my work was open for half the day. It was nice to be home! Caleb was being goofy in the morning, playing with googles...silly boy! He had his second haircut and he was so good! He sat in the chair all by himself. Caleb opened a few gifts from Mommy and Daddy Christmas Eve and went to bed in his cute Christmas jammies!

Christmas in Osakis

Caleb was a little Vikings fan for Christmas in Osakis. He got the outfit from his Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Mari. Caleb had so much fun with Landon (his second cousin) in Osakis. He wanted to hold him and hug him! Poor Landon was probably overwhelmed. As they get older they will have a lot of fun together, I'm sure. Christmas in Osakis sure was different this year without Grandpa Waldvogel. He is very missed by our family.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We had such a fun time this year with Caleb. In these pictures he is opening presents from his Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Mari. He especially liked Elmo, he kept having Auntie give Elmo kisses. I'll post more pictures later in the week from our other Christmas celebrations!

Yesterday Caleb had his 15 month well-child visit at the doctor's office. Since we moved, this was his first time seeing his new doctor..who is actually one of my old doctors! Hard to believe the same doctors are still practicing..they are getting old! It was a great visit, I am so happy to have him going to this clinic. Dr. Sakkal diagnosed Caleb with a borderline milk intolerance. He advised to keep giving Caleb formula and gradually try more and more milk. He should grow out of the intolerance as he gets older, it just may take some time. I'm glad to know it's nothing to be overly concerned about. Other than that, Caleb is doing just fine!! He weighed 25 lbs 12 oz and he is 32 1/2 inches tall. He's getting taller as he gets older! He is also working on lots of teeth...4 molars, lower incisors, and eye teeth. No wonder he has been so miserable at night.

Getting ready for Christmas!

It's almost Christmas! Why does this time of the year always go so quickly? Caleb is really enjoying Christmas so far..he loves the tree and all the decorations. It is going to be so fun to watch him opening presents Christmas morning. Last weekend he helped us bake cookies! (this ended up being a sprinkle mess..all over the table and the floor!) Saturday we have Christmas in Osakis with the Waldvogel family. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we will spend with my family at home (we usually do Christmas Eve with Marshall's mom but they will be out of town this year). I am really looking forward to everything this year...I love Christmas! I also have a few days off from work so that will be nice too.

Almost 15 months old!

Caleb is just about 15 months old. He is spending a lot of time with Daddy, Auntie and Grandma and Grandpa. Marshall hasn't started a new job yet so he is watching Caleb every day. It is saving money on daycare! He loves being around so much family every day! He is saying "Laura" now...which sounds like 'dua'. Nearly every day Caleb is surprising us with a new word! It's so much fun to see him changing.

We have been having some challenges when it comes to sleeping. Caleb's been working on molars now for weeks, so that doesn't help. His crib is in our bedroom now so every time he wakes up Marshall and I wake up, too. Last night he finally slept a good stretch without getting up...9 to 5:30. I'll take that! I hope it continues. His top molars are almost all the way through and his bottom ones are still under the gums. Poor guy! Getting teeth is hard work.

Snow!

We had our first big snowfall this weekend and Caleb enjoyed playing outside!! Much better than his first reaction to the grass! Auntie kept throwing snow on him and he just giggled!

We are all moved now. What a relief. It's strange being back where I grew up, I haven't lived in the area for about 8 years. Caleb is really enjoying being at Grandma and Grandpa's. He seems to have learned a ton of new tricks in the past week. He barks like Ollie, and when Ollie has to go outside Caleb runs to the door with him. He says "I love you" which sounds like "I llllllllllll you." He can show you his muscles, complete with a grunt when flexing! He also knows that Santa says "ho-ho-ho". He loves giving hugs, kisses and eskimo kisses. He says so many words now, his latest are: grandpa, Joe (for uncle Joey), puppy, and nose. He is also pretty excited about the Christmas tree!

Moving!

We are moving in less than a week! I really despise moving..it's such a pain. I can't wait for it to be over with. Caleb is having fun jumping in and out of all our boxes and 'helping' me. Friday was his last day at daycare..he is spending time with Daddy now until Marshall gets a new job. I was sad saying goodbye at daycare, he has really loved it there. The girls were so good to him..he got a little going away present and they said he said "bye Sara" on his last day! Both of his teachers are named Sara. It's going to be hard finding a new daycare.

Caleb got his pictures taken at Penney's Saturday..what an ordeal! They are very unorganized there. We were there for a total of 2 1/2 hours! Caleb did remarkably well being there that long. He kept waving and saying hi to Penney's customers..he could be a greeter! He did great during pictures, except for his initial fear. He started crying when they started taking his pictures at first...he gradually warmed up! Saturday night we had a 30th anniversary party for my parents at Joey's house. It was a lot of fun. Caleb had a great time hanging out with all of his buddies.

Caleb finally got another tooth!! It's a molar, on top...not what I expected to come next, but I guess you never know with this kid.
