Caleb at 10 months

Caleb is 10 months old! Last weekend we went to a family picnic. Caleb had a lot of fun playing with my cousin Jenna's new puppy, Diego, and with his cousin, Kenna! They are pretty close in age and it was fun watching them interact. Yesterday I brought Caleb to the doctor because he was running a fever and I suspected another ear infection. Sure enough...both ears are infected again. This is the 3rd ear infection for Caleb since May 16. This is not a good way to spend the summer! Typically ear infections are much more prevalent in winter months, so this worries us..what lies ahead! The doctor we saw suggested we'll most likely have to meet with an ENT doctor if Caleb keeps getting ear infections. He goes back in 2 weeks to see if his ears have cleared up. He is also working on two top teeth now...he is such a good boy even when he doesn't feel good!

Osakis Car Show

Last weekend was the annual car show in Osakis/bonfire at the 'farm.' Lots of family and friends were there. It was Caleb's first car show! Grandpa walked him around to show him the cars. He even sat outside at the bonfire for a little while until bedtime. He spent lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa in the middle of the night..he doesn't sleep well at the farm. He was a great alarm clock for all the sleepyheads that stayed up too late the night before.

More Teeth!

Tooth #5 is popping through this week. It's one of the top middle ones...so everyone can stop calling Caleb a vampire!! He won't just have fangs on top.

Happy 4th of July!

Caleb enjoyed his first 4th of July last week. We didn't do fireworks or anything special...maybe next year. He was "Mommy's Little Sparkler" as it says on his tshirt in the picture above.

Caleb will be 10 months soon. I'm starting to think about his birthday party and it's depressing thinking that my baby is almost 1 year old. Every day he seems more and more grown up. He is doing 'so big' now, which is the cutest thing. He waves and gives the best sloppy kisses!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

It was my birthday last week and we visited with my family to celebrate. Marshall had to work so he missed out on the fun. I remember last year being pregnant with Caleb on my birthday, it seems like not long ago and now I have this amazing little boy! He is getting big so fast.

9 Months!

Caleb is now 9 months old! He has four teeth, two on bottom and top on teeth--his eye teeth, which makes him look like a little vampire! He is doing so great eating table food and drinking from his sippy cup. Caleb went to the doctor last week for his 9 month check up. It went well. He weighs 21 lbs 2 oz and he is 28 inches long. That is about 60th percentile for weight and 50th for height. He is doing excellent developmentally! His ear infection is clearing up, not 100% yet but the doctor said it was on track so she didn't want to prescribe more mediciation. No shots at this visit either so that made for a happy boy!

Walk with me, EVERYONE!

While visiting at Grandma and Grandpa's, Caleb developed the need to 'walk' everywhere! Every once in awhile he'd be brave enough to let go with one hand. Before we know it he'll be cruising along on his own!

Getting into trouble at Grandma's...

Grandma and Grandpa's

Caleb spent lots of time at Grandma and Grandpa's last week. Marshall was in Minot and I had already canceled daycare for Caleb since we were planning that Marshall would bring him with to North Dakota. Grandma and Auntie were happy to babysit! Grandpa even took Monday off from work to stay home and spend time with Caleb. He had such a great time playing with everyone. Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Joey, and Angela got to visit. Joey and Laura even gave Caleb a bath!

Fargo

We went to Fargo a couple weekends ago now (I'm behind with the blog, sorry!!) and we had a great time visiting with Marshall's dad, stepmom and nephew Alex. Caleb went swimming for the first time at the hotel. He was a little scared at first, but he warmed up and had a great time playing in the water. Marshall went to Minot afterwards to visit his Grandma for a few days and Caleb ended up coming home with me.
